Designed to empower soldiers transitioning out of the military and veterans with valuable skills in home engineering and maintenance, this innovative program offers a hybrid learning experience combining virtual, classroom, metaverse, and in-field training. We are pleased to offer training and job opportunities to students, faculty, and residents of Dekalb and surrounding counties at GPTC. Upon successful completion of the program, technicians will have the chance to work with Gi-Techs USA and other service provider partners.

As part of its commitment to supporting military personnel and veterans in their transition to civilian life, VTEC is offering priority services for soldiers transitioning out of the military and veterans to participate in the Home Engineering Program. Nonmilitary personnel are welcome to participate in our training program as well. By providing access to comprehensive training and resources, VTEC aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue rewarding careers in the home and commercial repair, maintenance, and installation industry.

The Home Engineering Program at GPTC shows how valuable and flexible our training programs are when it comes to enhancing the economic mobility of those we serve. This program will play a vital role in driving economic growthy by supplying skilled labor to businesses and industry. Supporting our veterans and military personnel by providing comprehensive support including job placement assistance, interview preparation, resume writing, and other resources will help us ensure a smooth transition for those we serve. The Home Engineering Program features a hybrid curriculum that includes virtual learning sessions, interactive classroom instruction, immersive metaverse experiences, and firsthand training in the field. This innovative approach allows participants to gain practical skills and industry knowledge while adapting to the evolving landscape of education and technology.
